Each of Penn’s graduate schools is represented by a G12+ school government (constituent partner). The school partners work closely with GAPSA to ensure a representative form of government.


Annenberg School of Communications

Graduate Council of Students→

The Annenberg Graduate Council is made up of six members of the ASC graduate student body. The group’s primary function is to represent the ASC student body and to convey its interests, suggestions, and grievances to the faculty, staff, and ASC administration, as well as to foster a collegial atmosphere for students.

The Liberal and Professional Studies Government (LPSgov) is tasked with understanding and expressing student values and opinions, ensuring that Masters’ students have access to valuable information to enhance their graduate experience, equitable distribution of funding, and working with other student groups to provide program-wide events designed to foster cohesiveness within the entire LPS graduate population.

Weitzman School of Design

Weitzman School of Design Student Council→

Rather than having localized events dedicated to social, service, academic, or student group initiatives, StuCo would like to serve as a gateway for student groups and individuals to better connect with one another within the school and university, but also across Philadelphia and the design community at large. StuCo hopes to help shape Weiztman School of Design into a healthy, international collective of artists, designers, planners, and scholars in training who share an attitude that looks beyond disciplinary labels, in an environment that is stimulating for students and faculty across the entire School of Design community.

School of Engineering and Applied Science

Graduate Student Engineering Government (GSEG)→

GSEG is the student government for all residential masters and PhD students at the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS). They serve as liaison between the 22 programs at SEAS and work towards enabling SEAS students to have the best possible experience during their time at Penn. GSEG is tasked with the roles of representation, advocacy, and funding, as well as programming for academic, cultural, and social events.

GSESG is a voice for the GSE student body and acts as a liaison with the administration, faculty, and alumni. We are committed to being a source of information, guidance, and service to students. The Student Government is also committed to being open to and supportive of the diversity of GSE’s students and to developing a sense of community among GSE constituents.

Council of Student Representatives (CSR) →

The Council is the elected government of the Law School student body. CSR has four major purposes: (1) Represent the interests and address the concerns of the student body; (2) Coordinate and regulate student activities and funds in the interest of the student body; (3) Communicate with the student body, administrative offices, student leaders, as well as other departments in the university system on relevant issues; and (4) Provide services that improve the quality of life of Penn Law students.

Graduate Student Organization (GSO) - Master's Students →

The purpose of the Graduate Student Organization (GSO) is to foster a sense of community among the Master's students of the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing. GSO provides opportunities for social, academic and professional development and networking. GSO is a direct link between Master's students and the faculty of the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing. 
All master’s students enrolled in the Graduate Division of the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing, including matriculated BSN/MSN students, comprise the membership of GSO.

The mission of the Doctoral Student Organization of the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing is to support and encourage students by engaging in professional and social endeavors which will enhance educational experiences while promoting integrity of character, leadership, and organizational skills. Membership is automatic for all students enrolled in the doctoral program of the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing.

Wharton School of Business

Wharton Graduate Association (WGA) →

The Wharton Graduate Association (WGA) is the student government organization of The Wharton School's graduate program.

Incorporated in 1994, we are a non-profit organization and the primary vehicle for coordinating and managing student activities and initiatives--academic, career, and social.  In addition to student representation, the WGA provides monetary and logistical resources to over 150 student-run clubs and conferences.
