Will Anyu

Chair for Social Activities

Graduate School of Education

Will Anyu serves as the Assistant Director of Operations and Programs at the Penn Center for Minority Serving Institutions. He is currently an Ed.D. student in Higher Education program at the University of Pennsylvania's Graduate School of Education. Will is a native of Cameroon where he resided until the age of six, before moving to Minneapolis.

Will’s commitment to education is evident in his work with the Children’s Defense Fund Freedom Schools (CDF). During his time at CDF, he played a vital role in spearheading the Valour Academy site in Raleigh, North Carolina. Through his diligence and dedication, he was granted the opportunity to intern with the White House Initiative on Educational Excellence for African Americans in Washington, DC during the Obama Administration.

As the 2018-19 GAPSA Social Chair, Will seeks to build on old social events while embarking on new ideas in an effort to get all graduate and professional students involved within the greater Penn community.          

Fun fact: He loves Game of Thrones.
