Buyan Pan is GAPSA’s 2017-2018 Chair for Research Students. In the past year, Buyan served as a research representative to the GAPSA General Assembly. This year, she decided to step up to the role of Research Chair in hopes of making a greater impact on the lives of researchers at the University. Her future plans for GAPSA include: expanding funding opportunities for PhDs, improving transparency and consistency across research programs, and reinforcing GAPSA’s connection to the graduate and professional student body. Outside of lab work, Buyan enjoys organizing science outreach programs and volunteering in popularizing science.
