Daming Shi, Chair for Student Programs

Daming Shi is GAPSA's 2016-2017 Chair for Equity and Access. Daming is originally from China and is a 4th year Ph.D. candidate studying Chem E. Daming received his B.S. in Chemical Engineering in 2013 from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. He served on GAPSA as a GA member last year.
In the role as Chair for Student Programs, Daming plans to promote more programs that helps community-building among graduate students both on and off campus. He is also planning to provide subsidized tickets for local art, cultural as well as sports events to the graduate students.
Fun fact: Daming learned skiing when he came to Penn and he loves it now and will have a ski trip every winter.
