Justine S. Sefcik is the current Vice Chair for Equity Access. She previously held the role as Chair of GAPSA (2014-2015) and Vice Chair for Research Students (2013-2014). Justine is currently a Dual Degree Student working on a PhD in Nursing and a secondary Master’s degree in Bioethics. She is a Ruth L. Kirschstein Predoctoral Fellow through the Center for Integrative Science in Aging and the New Courtland Center for Transitions and Health at the School of Nursing.
Justine is a Registered Nurse and has a BS/MS in Nursing Administration from the State University of New York Institute of Technology, and an AS in Nursing from the State University of New York at Delhi, and a BA in Studio Art from the State University of New York College at Oneonta.
Prior to coming to Penn, Justine was the Assistant Director of Nursing/Education Coordinator in a Long-Term Care facility in New York. During the 2015-2016 academic year Justine will work to improve graduate and professional students’ experience on campus at the University of Pennsylvania.
Fun Fact: Justine is originally from Staten Island, NY and enjoys traveling.
