Paul Welfer, Vice President of Finance

Paul Welfer is the 2015-2016 Vice-Chair for Finance, enthusiastic about continuing to serve Penn in GAPSA for a third year. Paul is focused on responsible finance to promote student advocacy, community, and diversity. As fiscal fiduciary to students, Paul’s passion is in giving voice through funding by advancing transparency and accountability, responsive efficiency, and sustainable administration. Last year, Paul served as a SAS representative in the GAPSA General Assembly and Professional Student Council while serving on the GAPSA Finance Committee and University Council.
Paul is a fifth-year Organizational Dynamics (DYNM) master’s student with an interest in global governance models. In SAS, Paul serves as SASgov Vice President for Finance and sits on the DYNM Program Council. Previously, Paul served as DYNM graduate program General Body representative to SASgov.
Paul graduated magna cum laude from Penn’s School of Arts and Sciences with a Bachelor of Arts degree in American Civilization and a minor in Anthropology. While advancing his academic studies, Paul works in the finance industry.
Fun Fact: Paul is an avid runner who competes in half-marathons while endorsing the adage, “The race is not always to the swift but to those who keep on running.”
