Michael Krone is a second-year student in the JD/MBA Program between Penn Carey Law and The Wharton School. Originally from Lafayette Hill, PA, Michael attended Penn as an undergraduate, graduating in 2019 with a BA in Political Science and Economics. Prior to returning to Penn, Michael was a consultant at McKinsey & Company in their Philadelphia office, where he specialized in non-profit and state/local government strategy and organizational effectiveness transformations. As a graduate student, Michael is involved in student governance, serving as the President of Penn Carey Law’s Council of Student Representatives and Professional Chair of the Graduate and Professional Student Assembly. Michael also serves the University community as a board member of the Penn Alumni Club of Philadelphia and executive board member of The Penn Fund.

TI joined GAPSA to get to know a diverse group of students across all twelve schools and to advance causes for a better Penn experience.

Give a brief blurb about your position and high-level goals for the year

Professional Council is the organizing body for professional (e.g., Masters, MD, JD, VMD, DMD, etc.) students on campus. Our goals for this year are to improve community among graduate students and to strengthen engagement with Philadelphia through voting outreach, improved transit, and public safety and wellness.
